Travel Medicine

Mascot Medical provides travel advice and vaccinations, no matter where in the world you are travelling – covering Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A/B, Typhoid & Malaria

Skin Checks

We perform comprehensive skin and mole checks plus ongoing management if required – including cryotherapy & removal of suspicious moles / cysts

Sexual Health Checks

We provide comprehensive STD checks for females, males & LGBTI, including testing for HIV, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea. We now also offer PREP

Onsite Pathology

Laverty pathology is conveniently based within Mascot Medical, and blood tests can be arranged without an appointment - Monday to Saturday

Dr Krishna Sura | Director & GP

B. Med, FRACGP, Dip. Derm

Dr Krishna Sura completed his medical degree in 2005 at University of Newcastle. He went on to complete a year of surgical training prior to commencing his GP training.
Upon completing the GP fellowship in 2011, Dr Sura undertook a Diploma in Dermatology from the Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand.
Dr Sura enjoys all aspects of medicine but has a keen interest in dermatology, sports medicine and sexual health.

In his free time, Dr Sura enjoys running, cycling and football. He is a keen listener of live music and can be found regularly attending events around Sydney.

Dr Davina Hiley | GP


Davina graduated from Sydney University in 1999. Davina has worked extensively in Accident and Emergency at many hospitals across Australia before concentrating on General Practice.

Davina has a keen interest in women's health and has extensive experience in this field. She also has an interest in Preventative Medicine, Mental Health, Sexual Health, as well as Drug and Alcohol Medicine. She is well experienced in providing skin treatments for acne scarring, skin rejuvenation, hair growth and scar reduction for all skin types. She has extensive treatment in using the Infini resurfacing device (enquire within).

In her free time, Davina spends time with her two children, several animals and loves gardening and playing the cello.

Dr Jeremy Choy | GP


Dr Jeremy Choy graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1996 and was subsequently awarded a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2002.

He has completed further post graduate studies at UNSW and obtained a Masters of Sports Medicine in 2010, in which he is highly trained.

He has developed extensive experience through managing patients in a diverse range of General Practices with a special interest in musculo-skeletal medicine and sports injuries, travel medicine, and preventative health.

In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys practising Jujitsu, spending times with wife and kids, and travelling.

Dr Caran Cheung | GP


Caran graduated from Sydney University in 2013, and went on to train at St Vincent's Hospital with a special interest in critical care medicine. She then worked briefly overseas in emergency. She completed her FRACGP in 2018. Prior to medicine, worked as a community pharmacist.
Caran is multi-skilled: she is accredited in antenatal shared care, Implanon insertion and removal, and has completed the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health and a certificate of practical dermoscopy with the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She is also an S100 hepatitis B prescriber.
She enjoys seeing patients from all walks of life, from young to old and has a focus on preventive health.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, musicals, scuba diving and snowsports.

Dr Jie Zhang | GP

MBChB, FRACGP, Dip Child Health

Dr Jie completed her undergraduate medical degree through the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2005.

Since then, she has completed further study in a Diploma of Child Health at Westmead Hospital in 2011. She completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014.

She has had extensive hospital experience in both Australia and New Zealand, as well as in IVF medicine.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a particular interest in women’s health, family medicine and planning, paediatrics (children), sexual health and, travel medicine.

Dr Vi Truong | GP


Dr. Vi Truong graduated from University of NSW in 2002. She completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008.

Prior to entering in General Practice she trained in emergency at Liverpool Hospital and paediatrics at The Children's hospital at Westmead.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice with special interests in paediatrics, women's health, mental health and sexual health. She is also skilled in Implanon insertion and removal.

Dr Simon Howell | GP

MBBS Hons, FRACGP, Bsc MChiro BHealthSc

Dr Simon Howell graduated from Medicine with Honours from University of Sydney in 2005. He has trained in many of the major teaching hospitals in Sydney in areas such as Emergency, Drug and Alcohol and Medicine.

He has completed post graduate studies in Medical Education and aspires to empower patients with the knowledge they need to better navigate their healthcare. He has also completed post graduate studies in Palliative Medicine and is available to effectively manage pain amongst other symptoms.

He has a special interest in mental health, paediatrics and geriatrics as well as patients of all ages in between.

Dr David Heslop | GP

MBBS, FRACGP, PhD (Medicine), MPH, BSc (Advanced), Hon I

Dr David Heslop is a General Practitioner and Associate Professor at the School of Public Health and Community Medicine at the University of New South Wales.
He completed his medical training in 2006 at the University of Sydney, and has worked extensively as a doctor with the Australian Defence Force in General Practice and various specialised medical roles in Australia and overseas.

Dr Heslop enjoys spending time with his wife and children, learning Spanish, and playing classical piano and other instruments.

Mr Greg Cameron | Psychologist

BPsycSc, PGDipPsych, MAPS

Greg is an experienced Psychologist and Senior Consultant in the health, organisational psychology and occupational rehabilitation industries. He completed his university studies in 2010 at Bond University, QLD.

He has experience providing evidence based psychological assessments and interventions for a variety of areas including: Depression and Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Adjustment Issues, Grief and Loss, Addictions, Pain Management, Stress Management, Self Esteem Issues, Weight Management, Life Coaching/Transitions, Family and Relationship Challenges, and Workplace Issues.

Whilst his approach is personal with a focus on establishing rapport through warmth and understanding, he loves to work on a meta-level when guiding and implementing creative solutions. He seeks to provide a safe place to explore and challenge ideas, and assist in helping individuals flourish.

Ms Alicia Sim | Dietician

Bach. NutrSc, Mast. NutrDiet

Alicia is an Accredited Practising Dietitian from the Dietitians Association of Australia. She graduated from University of Sydney with a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics after completing a Bachelors Degree in Nutritional Science at Melbourne's La Trobe University.

Alicia strives to always provide excellent health care services to patients who requires nutritional advice on diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, mental health disorders, arthritis, gout, weight management, food allergies, nutritional supplements and other general healthy eating. Her goal is to provide healthier nutritional advice to better suit each patient’s lifestyle and to help them achieve their nutritional goals.

Ms Lenore Hu | Practice Nurse

Bach. Nursing

Lenore is a Registered Nurse, fluent in Chinese and assists the medical staff in providing triage, wound care, children’s immunisations and health checks, adult vaccinations, management of chronic illness plus additional training in pathology collection and sexual health.

Lenore is also registered to undertake routine papsmears.

Lenore is available Monday to Friday to assist in all health care needs, dressings, vaccinations and procedures.

Ms Leonie Ritchie | Practice Nurse

Dip. Nursing

Leonie completed her Diploma of Nursing in 2016 at a Distinction level. She has since gained experience working in various general practices across Sydney. Her career goal is to further her nursing skills and experience.
Leonie is available to assist with pathology collection, immunisations, wound care, children and adult checks and other medical tests. In her spare time, she enjoys attending concerts, reading and spending time with her family.

Leonie is available weekdays to assist in all health care needs, dressings, vaccinations and procedures.

Ms Wendy Liu | Practice Manager

As Practice Manager, Wendy oversees the day to day running of the practice ensuring that her colleagues and visitors are well taken care of.

Wendy started her General Practice journey in 2009, and has since gained diverse experience working in hospital GP clinics, and family practices. Her interests include preventative health, Indigenous Health, and Chronic Disease Management.

Away from work, she enjoys travelling, eating and travelling to eat.
